Blake Lively tries to interact with Taylor Swift as rumours of rift continue

Blake Lively is offering a subtle sign of support for Taylor Swift despite ongoing reports of tension between the pals.
The It Ends With Us actress, 38, quietly liked Swift’s recent Instagram post celebrating the release of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, which debuted at midnight on Friday, October 3.
In the post, Swift, 35, shared a heartfelt message with fans, writing, “I can’t tell you how proud I am to share this with you, an album that just feels so right.”
She continued, “A forever thank you goes out to my mentors and friends Max and Shellback for helping me paint this self portrait,” referring to producers Max Martin and Shellback, alongside glamorous, showgirl-themed promotional photos.
Swift’s latest project has already sparked fan discussion, particularly after she teased the track list back in August. One song title in particular, “Ruin the Friendship,” fueled online speculation that it was inspired by her rumoured falling out with Lively.
However, the track ultimately explores the pain of unrequited love and the regret that follows a missed opportunity from a high school romance, and not her personal friendship.
Swift and Lively have shared a close bond since meeting in 2015. Over the years, their friendship became publicly cherished, with Swift even becoming a godparent to one of Lively’s children with husband Ryan Reynolds.
The rollout for The Life of a Showgirl began with cryptic social media posts from Swift in early August, sending fans into a frenzy of speculation.
She finally confirmed the album’s release during her appearance on the New Heights podcast hosted by fiancé Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce.
At exactly 12:12 AM on August 12, she officially announced the album, timed with her signature sense of theatrical timing and fan anticipation.
