Washington – About 250 million bees were released after a truck overturned in the US state of Washington, after which authorities issued instructions to citizens to stay away from the affected area. According to the BBC, the accident occurred near the Canadian border, where the truck was carrying about 31,000 kilograms of beehives.

After the accident, emergency officials received the help of expert beekeepers to save as many bees as possible. According to the local sheriff’s office, the affected area will be closed until the rescue operations are completed.

According to authorities, the bees can return to their hives in the next 24 to 48 hours. In a recent message on social media, the police thanked the efforts of more than 20 beekeepers who immediately helped in the rescue. In the video released by the police, a large number of bees can be seen hovering around the overturned truck.

It should be noted that bees are not only kept for honey production, but they are also used for the pollination of crops in the fields.
