Keith Urban seemed to have quietly reflected on his marriage with Nicole Kidman during the premiere of his new CBS show The Road.

The country star, who recently split from the Oscar-winning actress after 19 years of marriage, performed his song Straight Line on stage and fans were quick to sense hidden meaning in the lyrics.

In the song, Keith sang, “Why we livin’ every day in circles? Just burnin’ out, burnin’ out,” followed by, “I don’t wanna just go through the motions.”

The track, which talks about breaking free from a tiring and draining routine, felt like a possible nod to his own emotional state after the breakup.

Earlier, Keith explained that Straight Line was written about wanting to escape “soul-sucking routine,” whether in love, work or life itself.

However, he said it was about feeling alive again after being under a dark cloud.

During the same episode, Keith opened up about the struggle of his career, admitting how lonely and exhausting tour life can be.

The music icon described moments of waking up on a bus feeling sick, missing his family and questioning his purpose, only to realise that music is what he is passionate about.

For the unversed, Nicole filed for divorce on September 30, sharing differences. The two share daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.

Reports later claimed that Keith already moved on with another musician, though he has not confirmed any new relationship publicly.
