Keith Urban shut down the conversations analysing his marital troubles with Nicole Kidman, which led to their separation and divorce filing.
The 57-year-old country star addressed the audience during his recent concert at Bridgestone Arena for his High and Alive World Tour and talked about them relating his lyric changes to his personal life.
The Fighter hitmaker said, “I’ve been covering like this for a long time. Stop reading s— into it. It’s called You’ll Think of Me,” before he started the 2002 song, as seen in the now-viral video on TikTok.
Urban then went on to sing the song, changing the original lyrics from “But you’ll think of me,” to “But I betcha think about me!” and “all your bulls— reasons” instead of the original, “Take your space and take your reasons.”
Since his split with the Australian actress became public, fans began to grow curious about the lyric changes and speculated about the reasons for the couple’s split accordingly, after almost two decades of marriage.
During his first concert after the Babygirl star filed for divorce, Urban dedicated his song, The Fighter, to his guitarist, Maggie Baugh, which sparked cheating rumours between the two.
