Jennifer Lawrence got real about some troubling experiences she faced early in her career, revealing that certain male co-stars would “punish” her if she refused their advances.

The 35-year-old Oscar winner shared the story during an appearance on the Las Culturistas podcast while talking about filming her new movie Die My Love.

Jennifer told hosts Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers that she didn’t need an intimacy co-ordinator on set because she felt completely safe working with her co-star Robert Pattinson.

However, the actress made it clear that he was never one of the actors who treated her badly.

“A lot of male actors get offended if you don’t want to f*** them,” Jennifer said. “And then the punishment starts.”

The Winter’s Bone actress’ blunt confession left the hosts stunned, before she laughed it off, joking that she had only “heard” about such things.

Talking about working with Robert, Jennifer said, “He’s not pervy and very in love with Suki (Waterhouse).

We mostly talked about our kids and relationships. So there wasn’t any weird, ‘Does he think I like him?’ stuff.”

Her new film Die My Love, directed by Lynne Ramsay, arrives in cinemas on November 7.

It’s based on the novel about a woman’s mental and emotional struggles after becoming a mother.

Jennifer, who first broke out with Winter’s Bone and went on to lead The Hunger Games, has built a reputation for speaking her mind and staying grounded even at the height of fame.
