Hilary Duff recently released her first song in a decade, and her husband Matthew Koma is the proudest.
The 38-year-old singer took to Instagram on Friday, November 7, and celebrated the release of her song, Mature, with a beautiful message honouring her as an artist.
The Inside Out hitmaker shared a picture of the Lizzy McGuire star holding up a heart-shaped cake, which read, “You’re so Mature,” alongside the caption.
“Mature is out today. It’s the first song ya’ll are hearing from an album my wife made over the last year and a half. Talk about an exercise in reclaiming what’s yours, giving yourself the license to step into a voice your younger self didn’t get to have, and doing it completely, unapologetically on your terms,” Koma began.
The record producer, who married Duff in 2019, continued, “Ba, I hope the world loves this song, loves your album, and gives you all the flowers you deserve – but I simultaneously don’t really give a fu– what anyone thinks because we got to make something YOU love, that you think is rad, and we got to do it together – the rest is a bonus. Congratulations to my sweet wife, you’re the fu–ing coolest.”
Koma also shared the credits for the song, listing down all the names, along with himself, as he worked as the co-writer and co-producer.
The Metamorphosis songstress replied to the sweet post in comments, writing, “My angel – I love you the most forever and ever.”
Although Duff has been hinting at the new album, a date has not been announced for its release.
