Farah begins the visit with her longtime cook, Dilip, and is instantly struck by the aesthetic of the building itself. Once inside Rakul and Jackky’s residence, the couple greets her with warmth, ushering her into a space that is both expansive and inviting.

The heart of the home is the primary living room, a vast, open area that blends contemporary elegance with personal charm. Floor-to-ceiling sheer drapes allow streams of natural light to fill the room, casting a gentle glow over plush grey sofas and statement olive and navy chairs. A standout feature is the console along the main wall—detailed with circular gold motifs and set against a wooden panel backdrop. It adds both warmth and sophistication to the space. As Farah surveys the expanse, she quips, “You must walk here, no need to go outside.”

In another living area, the vibe is equally luxurious but with bolder artistic flourishes. A mix of tufted green and blue sofas pairs stylishly with a rich tan leather couch, all surrounding a clear glass centre table. Overhead, a dark wood-paneled ceiling with recessed lighting adds a cosy, refined atmosphere.

A Kitchen That Stuns

The biggest surprise of the tour? The kitchen. Farah’s jaw drops as she walks in. “It’s bigger than my house! What is this two fridges, four microwaves?” she exclaims, half-joking. Spacious and thoughtfully designed, the kitchen is decked out in soft beige and warm brown tones, with generous cabinetry and ample counter space perfect for the couple’s late-night cooking experiments.

The entire home reflects Rakul and Jackky’s blend of modern sensibilities and effortless charm, a space made for entertaining, relaxing, and most of all, feeling at home.
