Anna Wintour gets honest about her alleged reputation
Intimidation is long associated with famed Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
But in a chat with Page Six, she dismissed the idea of her being ruthless, saying, “No one’s scared of me.”
However, her alleged reputation came from a 2003’s novel wrote by ex Vogue assistant, Lauren Weisberger, titled The Devil Wears Prada.
Three years later, the book was adapted into a film with the same name led by Meryl Streep who plays an editor named Miranda Priestly, which is believed to be inspired by Anna.
But her close circle came to her support. Restaurateur Keith McNally told the outlet, the editor, with whom she is friends for 50 years is “much funnier than people realize.”
In other news, an insider told Page Six about the demands Meghan Markle made to appear on Vogue cover.
“The duchess and her team had high expectations and were expecting she might get a print cover or at least a digital cover out of it, but Enninful was not able to meet those expectations.”
“He already had a magazine cover in the bag for that month,” the source revealed her alleged difference with the former British Vogue editor Edward Enninful.
“Meghan asked for control over [the] photographer, writer, final edit, photos, cover lines, and wanted a global issue,” the bird chirped, noting, “Nobody gets that. Not even Beyoncé.”
It is relevant to mention that Edward asked Meghan to feature in British Vogue’s 2019 issue. Instead, she opted to guest edit.
