Pakistani singer Ali Zafar has released his rendition of the Bollywood track Saiyaara, which he shared on Instagram.

The cover quickly drew reactions from his fans.

Explaining his inspiration, Zafar said he was moved after hearing an AI-generated version of the song performed in the voice of legendary playback singer Kishore Kumar, whom he regards as his all-time favourite.

“Not many new songs move me… but when I heard an AI version of this in the voice of my all-time favourite Kishore Kumar, it stuck. Had to get it out of my system. Here’s my rendition of the song of the season — Saiyaara,” Zafar wrote.

The singer’s version has been praised for its soulful touch, offering listeners a blend of nostalgia and freshness.
