Cruz Beckham fires back at claims he copied ‘The Beatles and Oasis’

Cruz Beckham faced massive attention after he pushed back at claims that he copied The Beatles and Oasis while starting his journey in music.

The young singer recently introduced his work with the release of his two singles Optics and Lick The Toad, and he has been meeting small crowds at live shows as he tried to shape his own style.

On Sunday, Cruz reacted to several comments on social media that claimed his tracks were too similar to the legendary bands.

He posted a screenshot of the remarks on his Instagram Stories and wrote that this is what writing a song looks like, adding that some people hurt his brain and said that jealousy creates delusion.

However, Cruz’s reaction came shortly after he posted a picture of his injured pinky finger wrapped in a dressing, as he showed it to fans with a light hearted peace sign emoji.

Cruz also spent the week celebrating his performance with his band The Breakers. His father David gave him a tight hug after the show and his girlfriend Jackie Apostel stood by him with pride.

Moreover, the evening felt emotional for the family and Cruz later shared photos from the night, calling it an amazing experience.

Jackie posted her own picture of the couple sharing a kiss and fans noticed their matching fur coats.

The pair began seeing each other in June 2024 and made their relationship public in October.

David shared a clip of Cruz singing and said the family was proud of his growth and his mom Victoria Beckham also highlighted his performance and said he looked happy on stage.

Friends and relatives also filled the comments with their support and showed their happiness.

Cruz performed Optics during the show, a song with bold lyrics, while Lick The Toad offered a gentler theme inspired by nature.

Jackie hinted that Cruz may soon release a full album, suggesting that more music could be on the way.
