Cara Delevingne shares oops moment from Academy Museum Gala

Cara Delevingne is keeping it real, even when things don’t go exactly as planned.

The British model gave fans a peek behind the scenes of the Academy Museum Gala 2025, showing that even the most glamorous red carpets come with a few fashion emergencies.

In an Instagram post shared on Wednesday, Delevingne, 33, posted what she called a “gala dump,” revealing what went down just moments before she hit the red carpet at the star-studded October 18 event in Los Angeles.

Dressed in a glittering Tamara Ralph Couture gown that shimmered perfectly under the lights, Delevingne looked every bit the star, but what fans didn’t see right away was that her dress had ripped just before she stepped out.

Luckily, her stylist John Mumblo was right there to save the night.

With a sewing kit in hand, he quickly got to work mending the tear while Delevingne stood barefoot on the pavement, toe separators still in place.

“Scroll through to reveal the truth behind the glitz and glamour,” the L’Oréal ambassador cheekily captioned her post.

In the video, Mumblo can be seen literally sewing Delevingne into the gown as they made their way to the event, keeping his cool under pressure.

Off the red carpet, Delevingne has also been making big moves in her personal life.

Nearly a year after her $7 million Los Angeles home was destroyed by fire, the Suicide Squad star has purchased a new property, and not just any home.

Reports reveal that Delevingne bought Jennifer Lawrence’s Beverly Hills mansion for a staggering $11 million.

The five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bath home has quite the Hollywood history, once owned by singer Jessica Simpson before Lawrence purchased it in 2014.

The house features a spacious white kitchen, lush outdoor pool surrounded by trees and bamboo, and sits in a neighborhood shared with stars like Adele, Nicole Kidman, and Cameron Diaz.

The move marks a new chapter for Delevingne, who was in London performing in Cabaret when the fire broke out earlier this year.

Fortunately, no one was hurt and her pets were safely rescued. Though she faced a reported $2.4 million loss when selling the damaged property, Delevingne seems to be moving forwardm with a new home, a repaired gown, and the same fearless attitude that fans love her for.
