Taylor Swift leaves fans counting down to fresh announcement with new hint

Taylor Swift is keeping fans on their toes ahead of The Life of a Showgirl release as she continues to set up new countdowns on her website.

The latest countdown the 35-year-old pop superstar has created on her website is blue glittery-themed for three hours and expires on 2pm, August 21.

Along with the website update, the Anti-Hero hitmaker’s TikTok and Apple Music pages have been covered in blue glitter ahead of the next announcement.

Shocked by the sudden update, Swifties took to social media and shared their theories for what the announcement could be.

“OMG THE GLITTER HAS CHANGED TO BLUE NOW ON TIK TOK & TAYLOR’S APPLE MUSIC PAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!! #TSTheLifeofaShowgirl,” wrote one fan.

Another noted that the blue glitter doesn’t match any of the locked boxes on her website, while a third chimed in, “She did the purple lock last to make sure we wouldn’t mistake it for this blue glitter maybe?!?!…[Music video]? Single?”

“What if she told us she’s a Mastermind?,” quipped a fan, referring to Swift’s lyrics from Midnights track, Mastermind.

Other fans wrote, “Girl plsssss just drop a single already,” and “Another vinyl variant,” referring to her last countdown which was unveiled to be a limited edition vinyl variant.

One Swiftie theorised, “The countdowns just feel like a nod to the “showgirl” aesthetic. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, it’s showtime.”
