Lahore – It has been revealed that more than half of kidney transplants have been made illegal in Pakistan.
According to private TV, the President of Pakistan Transplant Society, Prof. Saeed Akhtar has revealed that more than half of kidney transplants are being done illegally in Pakistan.
Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad are the centers of illegal kidney transplants. Illegal kidney transplants are also being done in large numbers in the federal capital. There is a tendency not to donate organs at death
Prof. Saeed Akhtar said that hundreds of young people in the country are dying every year after death without heart donation. One human organ can save 11 lives while one person can save two lives by donating a kidney after death.
People should make a will in their lifetime to donate organs after death. One million people in Pakistan need a heart transplant. The cause dies in their own homes
