The Senate Standing Committee on Home Affairs expressed strong displeasure over the issuance of illegal visas to foreigners and directed to bring the NADRA employees involved in issuing illegal visas to foreigners under the purview of law and asked the Ministry of Home Affairs to ensure this. The chairman of the committee said that it was unfortunate that foreigners were roaming freely in Pakistan without visas. According to the law, illegal foreigners should be taken into custody and deported after legal punishment. The committee also passed a resolution on issuing illegal visas to foreigners. Senator Sisi Pleju said that the killing of illegal aliens across the country and especially in Sindh province is creating security and other problems. This is a very complex issue. Senator Prof Sajid Mir informed the committee that CDA has martyred a mosque in Hamk area of Islamabad. No action was taken in this area except for the mosque which was identified as 47 illegal occupants on the order of the court. On which the standing committee directed not to martyr the mosque and demanded a report from the CDA.
