According to details a meeting of the federal cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan today in which legislation was discussed to prevent incidents of abuse.
The meeting approved the recommendations for severe punishment to the culprits. Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the affected children and women should be able to register their grievances without any fear or danger. Special care will be taken to identify the affected women and children. Make the strictest law apply. Federal ministers have called for harsher punishments for rape offenders with some ministers calling for the death penalty to be made part of the law.
The ministers suggested that the perpetrators of the abuse be hanged in public. Federal ministers Faisal Wawda Azam Swati and Noorul Haq also supported the execution.
