Lightning strikes have killed so many wild animals that you feel sorry for them


New Delhi – 18 wild elephants were killed in a lightning strike in the Indian state of Assam. According to the British News Agency, the villagers on Thursday found 14 elephants dead at one place and four others at the foot of a hill. 


Following the news of the death of the elephants, the Minister of Forests has ordered an investigation into the incident. Preliminary reports from the Forest Department show that the elephants were killed by lightning but forensic tests are being conducted to determine if the elephants were given any poison.
