Raphinha completes fight back in La Liga

Raphinha converted a stoppage-time penalty as Barcelona secured a 4-3 win over Celta Vigo in La Liga on Saturday, capping a dramatic comeback after a VAR review awarded a foul on Dani Olmo.

Barcelona were staring at a shock home defeat at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, trailing 3-1 with less than half an hour left after Borja Iglesias completed a hat-trick for Celta Vigo.

Ferran Torres had opened the scoring for the hosts in the first half, but the visitors responded swiftly and took control of the match.

Two second-half goals by Borja iglesis completed his hat-trick in the 62nd minute to shock Barcelona.

Hansi Flick’s side regained momentum in the second half. Dani Olmo and Raphinha scored within four minutes of each other to make it 3-3 by the 77th minute, giving Barcelona a lifeline in front of their home supporters.

Just as the game appeared to be heading for a draw, Olmo went down in the box in the 98th minute.

Following a video assistant referee check, the referee awarded a penalty. Raphinha stepped up and converted with composure to secure all three points for the league leaders.

The win puts Barcelona seven points ahead of second-placed Real Madrid, who host Athletic Bilbao on Sunday with a game in hand.
