Rawalpindi – The PTI founder Imran Khan has sought a performance report of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet members from the Accountability Committee. Regarding the alleged corruption in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the performance of ministers, the PTI founder Imran Khan has directed the Accountability Committee to submit a report by May 9. Following the instructions received from PTI founder Imran Khan, the accountability committee has started summoning cabinet members and the process of accountability has been started on the performance of all provincial departments, alleged corruption and misuse of powers. In this regard, the head of the accountability committee, Qazi Anwar, said that the entire process will be completed in a few days and a report will be submitted to PTI founder Imran Khan.
I have received instructions from the PTI founder to submit the performance report of the provincial cabinet members in the first week of May. He said that the cabinet members will provide all information regarding the funds and their use to the accountability committee. Yesterday, the Food Minister gave a performance report to the committee, while all ministers and advisors, as well as special assistants, will also send their reports to the committee.
The accountability committee has issued instructions that the ministers, advisors and special assistants of each department will appear before the committee and answer questions. He further said that the accountability committee will review the action taken against officials involved in alleged corruption and will prepare a performance report by May 6 and submit it to PTI founder Imran Khan. It may be recalled that the accountability committee established to address corruption in the provincial cabinet had sent a special letter to all members. The accountability committee was formed by PTI founder Imran Khan. The letter directed that the performance report for the last six months be submitted.
