52 kg of gold and 10 crore rupees were recovered from the abandoned car parked in the forest

Bhopal - The Income Tax Department and police in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh have seized gold and cash worth crores of rupees in separate raids in the state capital, Bhopal, from politicians, government officials, and real estate. The alleged relationships of the people associated with it have come to light.

According to NDTV, the most shocking discovery was 52 kg of gold biscuits, worth over Rs 40 crore. This recovery was done from an abandoned car which also had 10 crores in cash. The car was spotted in the forests on the outskirts of the city, where gold was reportedly being transported through the jungle. A team of 100 police officers and 30 vehicles surrounded the car to prevent it from escaping, but when the car was searched, no one was inside.

The car allegedly belongs to Chetan Gore, a resident of Gwalior, who is an associate of Saurabh Sharma, a former constable of the Regional Transport Office. Saurabh Sharma and several builders are already facing an investigation, and it is suspected that the seized gold and cash could be linked to them. However, no claims have been made regarding the seizure, and the search for the source of the assets is ongoing
