Important progress has been made in the murder case of Baba Siddiqui, a politician associated with the Indian Nationalist Congress Party.

According to Indian media, the police have claimed that Baba Siddiqui's killer was in constant contact with Lawrence Bishnoi's brother Anmul Bishnoi.

The police said that the accused used to use different accounts on the social media website Snapchat to stay in touch with Anmol Bishnoi, Anmol was in touch with the accused from Canada and America while 4 mobile phones were also recovered from the possession of the accused.

According to media reports, through a Facebook post, a member of the gang claimed that they targeted Baba Siddiqui because of his close relationship with Salman Khan and his alleged links with underworld figures like Dawood Ibrahim.

Earlier, the police had also claimed that a picture of Baba Siddiqui's son Zeeshan was found from the accused's Snapchat, while the former minister of the Indian state of Maharashtra was shot dead near his son's office in Bandra East.

The responsibility of Baba Siddiqui's murder was claimed by Bishnoi gang associate Shubham Rameswar Lonkar's brother on social media platform Facebook, after which Lonkar's brother was also arrested.

 Police have arrested 10 people, including 2 shooters and an arms supplier, in connection with Baba Siddiqui's murder.
