Israel faces a shortage of missiles to deter attacks by Hezbollah and Hamas

New York - The Israeli army is facing a severe shortage of interceptor missiles that destroy rockets in the air due to the continuous war with Lebanon and Iran after Hamas.

According to Israeli media, experts have warned that Israel will have to increase its air defense if Iran attacks in response to counterattacks and Hezbollah from Lebanon joins it.

According to experts, Israel is now facing a shortage of rockets and missile interceptors in its air defense array in the year-long war in Gaza and Lebanon.

The Israeli army used more than 2,000 missiles per day since the beginning of the war.

The Financial Times quoted experts and former military officials as saying that the US is helping the Jewish state by supplying the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile system to address the shortfall.

The experts added that the supply of arms to Israel was not unlimited and the US could not continue to supply Ukraine and Israel at the same pace at the same time.

Boaz Levi, CEO of Israel Aerospace Industries, which manufactures the missile interceptors, said it is working 24 hours a day, seven days a week to meet demand.

It should be noted that Israel currently has Iron Dome as a multi-layered air defense system, which is used to shoot down short-range missiles.

In addition, the David's Sling defense system is used to intercept medium-range missiles and the Aero system is designed to intercept long-range ballistic missiles.
