Lahore - Regarding the 26th constitutional amendment, a major breakthrough has been claimed between the Muslim League-N, PPP and JUI, while the number game has also been claimed to be completed regarding the approval of the amendment.

According to the details, an important meeting of leaders of political parties was held at Jati Amra, hosted by Nawaz Sharif, in which Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Zardari participated in the consensus on the 26th constitutional amendment.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman JUI, President Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari along with the PPP delegation arrived at Jati Amra. According to sources, Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif met senior party leaders in Jati Amra. Then the PML-N delegation consulted Maulana Fazlur Rehman for more than an hour.

After that, there was a meeting between Nawaz Sharif and Fazlur Rehman in which the senior leadership of both the parties also participated. In the meeting, a complete consensus was reached on the proposed 26th constitutional amendment. According to the sources, the JUI chief expressed his reservations and displeasure in front of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif, on which both the leaders assured to remove him.

There is a possibility of a consensus on the proposed draft of the PPP, while Maulana Fazlur Rehman's displeasure and concerns were also considered. In the meeting, a detailed briefing was given regarding the number game in both houses of the parliament.

Sources say that it is likely that the three parties have agreed on a joint draft, after which the joint draft of the 26th constitutional amendment is likely to be presented in the National Assembly session on October 18. Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, Prime Minister for Law Nazir Tarar, Attorney General are also participating in the dinner.

It should be noted that a consensus has been reached between the People's Party and JUI on the draft constitution, in today's meeting the Muslim League-N will be consulted on the draft of the two parties.
