Paralympics British athlete makes history by winning gold medal despite being pregnant

British athlete Jody Garnham has created a new history in the Paralympics.

In the ongoing Paralympics in Paris, France, British archer Judy Garnham became the first athlete to win a gold medal in these games despite being pregnant.

In the mixed team compound archery event at the Paralympics, Jody Garnham and his partner Nathan McEwen won the gold medal against Iran with a score of 155-151.

Earlier on Saturday, Jodie Grinham won bronze in the individual archery events, defeating her compatriot Phoebe Patterson-Pyne, who won the gold medal in Tokyo.

After winning the medal, Judy told the British media that she is about to give birth to her second child and is 7 months pregnant.

According to reports, Jodi is the first athlete to win a medal at the Paralympics despite being pregnant

It may be noted that Jodi won a silver medal at the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games, but due to an injury, she was out of the competition in Tokyo.
