Taylor Swift faces terror attack threat at Vienna shows from two men in Austria
Taylor Swift has had to cancel three upcoming shows in Vienna, Austria after facing threats of a terrorist attack at the concert.
Two persons were arrested on suspicion of planning terrorist attacks.
The 19-year-old main suspect was detained in Ternitz, south of Vienna, and the other in the Austrian capital, according to Franz Ruf, director general of public safety at the Interior Ministry.
The 34-year-old pop star was scheduled to perform at Vienna's Ernst-Heipel-Stadion on August 8, 9 and 10 and security protocols for the concerts were to be extended before the cancellation.
Roof confirmed that the suspects, who reportedly went viral online, planned to target Vienna in their attack, with the 19-year-old targeting Swift's Vienna show.
The 19-year-old man, who was living there with another man, was taken into custody after police searched his parents' home on Wednesday.
It is said that after searching the house, the bomb squad has discovered the chemical material. These materials are currently being tested to see if they can be used to make bombs.
