Shortly before the final, the Indian wrestler was disqualified for being 100 grams overweight

Paris - Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat was disqualified from the Paris Olympics for being 100 grams overweight.

Hours before the women's 50kg freestyle final at the Paris Olympics on Wednesday, Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat was disqualified for weighing 100 grams more than the prescribed weight limit.

Phogat was supposed to compete with USA's Sarah Hildebrand for the gold medal, but this morning her weight increased from 50 kg to 100 grams, due to which she will not be able to play her final match today.

It may be noted that till Wednesday morning Vinesh Phogat was set to win at least a silver medal in the Paris Olympics and she was being congratulated from all corners of the country for becoming the first Indian woman to reach the finals of wrestling. There will be no medal
