Faisalabad - It has been 27 years since Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, the uncrowned king of music, left the world.

Shahshah Qawwali was born on October 13, 1948, in a Qawwal family in Faisalabad, they learned the art of Qawwali at the age of 16 and sang ghazals, classical and Sufi songs along with Qawwali.

Every song sung by Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan reached the corners of the world including Pakistan and India and became immortal.

The emperors of Sirs used to sing the mystical words with such skill that the listeners were mesmerized, he gave a new dimension to the Qawwali by using Western instruments, his Qawwali 'Dum Mast Qalandar Ali Ali'. It has gained global popularity.

Apart from this, he is the God, Sanson Ki Mala, Dum Mast Qalandar, Akhian Adek Diyaan, Gorakh Dhanda, and many similar Qawwals and Ghazals, whoever heard them became his admirer.

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's name is included in the Guinness Book of World Records for recording 125 Qawwali albums.

Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, who had a mesmerizing voice and personality, suffered from kidney disease and died on August 16, 1997, at the age of 49, leaving his loved ones crying.
