Rawalpindi - Founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced a conditional apology for the May 9 incidents.
Speaking to the media after the hearing of the 190 million pounds reference in Adiala Jail, Imran Khan said that the CCTV footages of May 9 should be brought first. I will expel them from the party and punish them.
He said that you have the evidence, why are you hiding the evidence, it is a crime to hide the evidence, we used petrol bombs only in Zaman Pak Lahore and nowhere else, if any official of the organization is involved in throwing petrol bombs on sensitive buildings. He should be punished severely.
Imran Khan said that there is only honor for ISPR, there is no respect for the most popular person in Pakistan and the world, I was dragged by the Rangers, don't you have the right to apologize to me, the one who apologizes have made any mistake, I have not made any mistake, they have turned peaceful protest into terrorism, I am not a Muzaffargarh policeman to be flogged first and later my IG should go and apologise.
In response to DG ISPR's question regarding May 9, Imran Khan said that we will not forgive May 9, our people were tortured and the party was not allowed to contest elections. We are the victims of May 9, we want justice, Qazi Faiz Isa gave us full opportunity to crush us.
Imran Khan said that on May 9, 16 of our people were martyred, three people's legs were amputated, one person was paralyzed, we provided financial assistance to our workers, but the police pressured them not to talk about it.
He said that if someone doesn't want to talk, then don't. I won't either. We don't want chaos in the country. I am ready to talk for the sake of the country. It would have been difficult, then all the responsibility would have been on us.
On the question regarding declaring Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as a hero, Imran Khan said that whatever was said about Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is the findings of the Hamudur Rehman Commission and not mine.
On the question about not recalling Shehbaz Gul, Murad Saeed, Qasim Suri, Farah Gogi and Ahsan Jameel Gujjar, Imran Khan said that we are not afraid of courts, there are cases against my brother-in-law, sisters, nephews, but there is no trial here. They don't arrest people, they kidnap them.
He further said that after the incident of Hasina Wajid, I feel that something big is going to happen in the country. As Hasina Wajid escaped from the country, I am afraid that Nawaz Sharif, Zardari, Shehbaz Sharif will also flee from the country. Name of Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, Zardari and Mohsin Naqvi should be included in ECL, even if I come out of jail, I will not be able to leave the country
