According to the report of GNN News, on Friday night, the accused Ahsan Shah was being taken by the Lahore Police to the Shad Bagh area of Lahore for extradition, when the police party was attacked by his colleagues. The policemen were safe in the attack, but the accused Ahsan Shah was seriously injured. Ahsan Shah was rushed to the hospital where he could not survive.
It should be noted that the accused Ahsan Shah was arrested a few months ago for the murder of his friend Amir Balaj Tipu. It may be recalled that Ameer Balaj Tipu was shot dead on February 19, 2024 during a wedding ceremony. Two more people were injured in this incident, while one of the attackers, Muzaffar Hussain, was also killed on the spot due to the retaliatory firing of Amir Balaj's gunmen. A case of murder was filed by Amir Musab, brother of Amir Balaj, naming Khawaja Tafi Gulshan alias Tafi Butt, his cousin Khawaja Aqeel and four unidentified persons.
