London - Britain's oldest skydiver made history by jumping from the sky in the English county of Suffolk.

World War II veteran and former member of the Women's Royal Naval Service Manette Bailey has become the oldest woman to skydive by jumping from the sky to collect donations to mark her 102nd birthday.

Manette Bailey made the jump inspired by the 85-year-old's parachute jump, which aimed to raise £30,000 for three charities.

Manette Bailey's high-risk skydive at the age of 102 is an example of courage and perseverance, and the attempt broke the record held by 101-year-old Verdenhuis in 2017.

Manette Bailey said that when the door (of the ship) opened, she thought there was nothing more she could do.

This is not the first time that Manet has undertaken a risky task. Before turning 100, he drove a Ferrari at 130 mph at the F1 Track Silverstone.
