According to the FBI, the shooter at Donald Trump was a 20-year-old local man, identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, but the motive for the attack is not yet known.

Crooks fired about 20 shots, one of which hit the former US president's ear. According to the FBI, the attacker was armed. The attacker did not have any identification documents, so the FBI had to resort to DNA tests to identify him.


The Associated Press (AP) quoted Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger as claiming that the suspected attacker had also been killed.

According to the news agency, another person has also died in this retaliatory action.
Reaction of world leaders after the attack on Trump

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that violence in the political process is unacceptable, writing on his X account, "Our sympathies and best wishes are with Trump in this difficult time."

Trump's political rival and candidate for the next presidential election of the United States, Joe Biden, also strongly condemned the attack and said that he would contact Trump soon. I'm very happy to hear that Trump is OK, he said. They are safe and well.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also condemned the murderous attack on Donald Trump in his election rally in one of his statements.

He wrote, I am deeply concerned about the attack on my friend and former US President Donald Trump. I strongly condemn this incident.

Newly elected British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said The incident at the Trump rally in Pennsylvania is regrettable. I strongly condemn any kind of violence in politics.

US Vice President Kamala Harris said in a statement that she was satisfied that former President Donald Trump was not seriously injured. He further said that he is praying for his health and his family.
