Princess Kate's attendance at Wimbledon received a historic reception.

The Princess of Wales received a standing ovation from an enthusiastic crowd on Center Court at Wimbledon this afternoon.

The Princess of Wales has not been seen in public for over a month since her long-awaited return to Trooping the Color on June 15.

She is attending the men's singles final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic, accompanied by her daughter Princess Charlotte and her sister Pippa Matthews.

Kate missed Saturday's women's singles final, which featured Barbora Krejkova and Jasmine Paolini. That year the princess was diagnosed with cancer and stepped back from royal duties to focus on her health.

Kate's appearance at Trooping the Color was her first public outing in six months and her only engagement since being diagnosed with cancer.

However, royal sources noted that she aims to attend two or three more events this summer. On Saturday, Kensington Palace announced it would be on hand for the men's singles final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic.

Kate usually presents trophies to both the men's and women's singles winners at the tournament, making this event a potential next step for her. Unfortunately, Prince William was unable to join them for the final due to a scheduling conflict.

The Prince of Wales is president of the Football Association and is traveling to Berlin ahead of the Euro 2024 final this evening.

England take on Spain in a highly-anticipated clash this evening as Gareth Southgate bids to become the first Three Lions manager to win the Euros.
