West Indies were bowled out chasing Younis Khan and Co's total of 199 runs.
Champions Pakistan qualified for the final of the ongoing World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2024 after defeating champions West Indies by 20 runs in the first semi-final played at the County Ground in Northampton on Friday.
After setting a target of 199 runs, Pakistan's bowlers performed brilliantly to take their team to the finals of the tournament where they will face either India or Australia.
Sohail Khan was Pakistan's best performer with the ball as he took four wickets and restricted West Indies to 178 runs.
West Indies had a slow start as they scored just seven runs in the first four overs but they soon found a rhythm as Chris Gayle started hitting boundaries in the fifth over.
However, Gayle's innings did not last long as he was dismissed by Sohail for 26 runs.
West Indies continued to lose wickets at regular intervals but Ashley Nurse played a blistering 24-ball 36. He looked like the man to lead West Indies in the chase but was run out by Kamran Akmal.
Riyad Amrit played an innings of 29 runs off 9 balls but fell victim to Shoaib Malik.
Sohail took four wickets while Wahab Riaz and Shoaib Malik took two wickets each.
After being asked to bat first, Pakistan did not get off to a good start as they left three of their batsmen – Sharjeel Khan, Sohaib Maqsood and Shoaib Malik – without scoring any valuable runs.
West Indies looked on top as the ball was swinging under the clouds but a 77-run partnership between captain Younis Khan and Kamran Akmal put Pakistan out of danger.
Both the batsmen looked set at the crease but Akmal lost his wicket after scoring 46 runs off 31 balls with the help of eight fours. After the dismissal of the wicketkeeper-batsman, Pakistan lost two more wickets with Shahid Afridi (1) and Misbah-ul-Haq (0) returning to the pavilion.
Younis was dismissed by Fidel Edwards after 65, but Pakistan continued to post runs on the scoreboard as Amir Yahim and Sohail Tanveer put on a 61-run partnership at the bottom of the order.
Yamin scored 37 off 17 balls while Tanveer scored 33 off 17 balls.
For West Indies, Edwards took three wickets, Solomon Bean took two wickets while Jerome Taylor and Dwayne Smith took one wicket each.
