Golan Heights Attack: Hezbollah Crosses All Red Lines, Israel

Golan Heights Attack Hezbollah Crosses All Red Lines, Israel

Islamabad - At least 12 people were killed and many injured in a rocket attack on the occupied Golan Heights. It has been reported that children are also among the dead. In this attack on Saturday evening, a football field was destroyed in the Druze town of Majdal Shams, located on the Golan Hills.

After that, the Israeli Air Force has carried out operations against the alleged hideouts of the Lebanese militant organization Hezbollah between Saturday and Sunday.

According to the Israeli military, the targets targeted included weapons caches as well as military bases. The Israeli army has published video footage of the messenger app Telegram in this regard.

However, the Israeli claims have not been independently verified.

Hezbollah's denial

Israel has blamed the Iranian-backed Lebanese organization Hezbollah for the attack on the occupied Golan Heights. Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz says Hezbollah has crossed all red lines after the operation. He added, This is not an army fighting another army, but a terrorist organization, which is deliberately targeting civilians.

However, Hezbollah has denied responsibility for the deadly attack.

Due to the rocket attack in Majdal Shams, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu returned home prematurely from America and called a meeting of his security cabinet. Netanyahu has said that Israel will respond to this murderous attack and that Hezbollah will pay a heavy price, which it has not paid before.

Israel should avoid new adventures, Iran

Israeli army spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari has described the attack on the occupied Golan Heights as the deadliest attack on Israeli civilians since the terrorist attack by Hamas on Israel on October 7, which triggered the ongoing war in Gaza.

On the other hand, Iran has warned Israel not to start any 'new adventure' in Lebanon.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasir Kanaan said in a statement that any ignorant move by the Israeli government could lead to instability, insecurity and widening the scope of war in the region. He added that Israel would be responsible for the unintended consequences and repercussions of such foolish behavior.

UN representatives have called on both sides to exercise greater restraint as fears grow that the attack could spark a wider war in the region.
