Lahore - The process of monitoring processions and assemblies across Punjab continues from the central control room of the Punjab Interior Department. Visited the Central Control Room of Punjab. Punjab Interior Secretary Noor Ul Amin Mengal briefed the provincial ministers on the security situation and ongoing processions and gatherings across the province.
Interior Secretary Punjab said that 7490 modern cameras have been installed for monitoring Ashura processions and assemblies across the province, whose live feed was shown to the provincial ministers. He said that 6596 Majlis and 4779 processions are being held in Punjab on the 9th and 10th of Muharram, which are being monitored.
All gatherings and processions are being monitored under categories A, B, and C. He said that geo-tagging has been done on the map of assemblies and processions across Punjab. In Punjab, orders have been issued for the districting of 1,297 flamboyant speakers and dhikrs and the zoning of 801.
On this occasion, Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb and Khawaja Salman Rafiq reviewed the mourning processions, adjoining buildings, and routes in various places of the province, especially in the inner city of Lahore, through CCTV cameras. The senior minister said that Chief Minister Punjab is personally monitoring the security arrangements across the province. Also saw the drainage mechanism on the procession routes from the central control room.
Khawaja Salman Rafiq said on this occasion that he visited all over Punjab, and he is spending peaceful Ashura with the grace of Allah and with the best arrangements. Punjab Cabinet Ministers are visiting all the districts and monitoring the arrangements
Khawaja Salman Rafique directed that the implementation of the code of conduct issued by the Interior Department should be ensured. Special Secretary Interior Punjab, Additional Secretary Internal Security, Additional Secretary Home, and related officials were also present on the occasion
