A fearless little boy was caught after crossing the northern border of the White House and entering the official residence of the US President.

This survivor has become the White House's youngest uninvited guest ever.

Officers of the US Secret Service Uniformed Division, which is responsible for White House security, caught the 'Maham Joe' kid on Tuesday afternoon.

Photos released later show the diaper-clad baby in the arms of a smiling officer, who escorted him to his parents on Pennsylvania Avenue.

The child's access to the White House complex was restricted after officials reunited the child with his parents.

President Joe Biden was in the White House at the time of the incident. Officers questioned the child's parents before allowing them to leave

It was the first successful break-in at the complex since the height of the White House fence was doubled to nearly 13 feet in recent years following security breaches.

Although the new $64 million fence was raised, it left an extra inch of space between the pickets, making for a total of 5.5 inches between the posts.

The Secret Service did not immediately comment on the incident when contacted by The Associated Press, but Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi later said officers had encountered a curious little intruder.

In a statement reported by the BBC, the spokesman said: 'The White House security system immediately activated Secret Service officers, and the toddler was soon reunited with his parents.'

This is not the first time that a young child has crossed this fence. According to USA Today, the 'Fence Baby' was also captured on the White House lawn in 2014.

Older children sometimes get stuck in this famous fence. This fence also becomes the center of protests where protesters tie themselves to the fence
