A toddler who climbed over the White House fence into the US President's official residence has been handed over to his parents after being caught.

The Secret Service did not immediately comment on the incident when contacted by The Associated Press, but Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi later said officers had encountered a curious little intruder.
In a statement reported by the BBC, the spokesman said: 'The White House security system immediately activated Secret Service officers, and the toddler was soon reunited with his parents.'
This is not the first time that a young child has crossed this fence. According to USA Today, the 'Fence Baby' was also captured on the White House lawn in 2014.
