Occupied Jerusalem - During a football match in Palestine, the Israeli army shelled tear gas inside the stadium, as a result of which many people, including the players, were injured.

According to Al Jazeera, the final match of the tournament between the Nablus football club Makarza Bilata and the Jerusalem club Jabal al-Makabar was going on in occupied Jerusalem, when the Israeli army shelled tear gas in the stadium, which seriously affected many players and fans.

The Palestinian Football Association said that Israeli forces fired tear gas shells inside the Faisal al-Husseini International Stadium on Dahyat al-Barid Street in the East Jerusalem town of al-Ram.

In the incident, several Palestinian football players and dozens of fans, including children, suffered severe breathing problems due to the gas and were treated on the field, while three people were taken to hospital in critical condition.

  Turkish Consul General Ahmed Reza Demerer and PFA President Jibril Rajoub Abu Ammar were also present in the stadium at the time of tear gas shelling.
