While I'm a Celebrity has set the standard for scandalous trials in the UK, an American reality show took things to a whole other level with a stomach-churning act that never got out of hand.
As the saying goes, everything is bigger in America. And while in the UK, I'm A Celeb has set the standard for stomach-churning challenges, a stateside reality show has taken things to a whole other level.
Although serious eating challenges are now fairly common, the US hit Fair Factor once forced a contestant to do something so disgusting, the episode never even aired.
The work in question involved twins Brian and Claire Odioso, who starred in the 2011 version of the long-running show hosted by Joe Rogan.
The pair were bidding to win $50,000 (£44,000) - but donkey pee and cups of semen stood in their way.
If they were sick they had to start over and, perhaps unsurprisingly, the feat proved so disgusting, it not only left the contestants in awe but also the camera crew.
The show first aired in 2001 with Rogen and ran for six seasons before being canceled in 2006.
However, the show returned to NBC in 2011 for nine episodes, featuring the annoying Donkey Challenge.
The episode is titled Heehaw! Heehaw was pulled from the show's schedule after the episode was leaked but was later uploaded to YouTube for diehards to see.
In the segment, contestants are tasked with removing glasses of both urine and semen to qualify for the next round.
Claire Odioso revealed in a radio interview that it was the hardest "15 minutes" of her life and that if she threw up, she was made to start over.
He further claimed that the liquids smelled like weed.
Fox News reported that one of the twins said: If you throw up, you have to start over. I threw up in my glass and drank it. The cameramen were vomiting.
It stinks. It's very bitter, and there's a little hint of weed in it.
Despite it being offensive, Brynne Odioso was said to be disappointed that the episode did not air.
Asked if they would do it again, the brunette twins told TMZ: Maybe, we're proud of what we did.
The show was canceled but made a third return in 2017, hosted by rapper Ludacris on MTV.
