'Jail Bharu Movement' What difference will the arrest of PTI leadership make

After the announcement of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, the party's 'Jail Bharu Movement' is going on.

On February 22, several leaders and workers including Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, and Azam Swati surrendered themselves to the police in Lahore, while yesterday in Peshawar, the leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf announced that they would be arrested, but the arrest was not made.

According to the list released by PTI, 81 workers, and leaders have been arrested so far and have been transferred to various jails in Punjab. After these arrests and announcements, the question is important in its place that the arrest of the central leadership of Tehreek-e-Insaaf will make a difference to the party politically.

When this question was asked to the former Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab and analyst Hasan Askari, he told Independent Urdu: "The results of all such movements in the history of the country do not come out immediately, because those who went to jail during the movements." Character is political.'

According to Hasan Askari: The arrest of PTI leaders will make a difference in terms of political consultation and strategy, but other leaders are still out there who will continue to play a role in advancing this movement.

In his opinion, the party leadership should not make arrests themselves but should stay outside and organize and motivate the workers so that the desired results can be obtained.

'Jail Bharu Movement' What difference will the arrest of PTI leadership make

Political analyst Salman Ghani also believes that the leadership must be out to keep the workers united. Talking to Independent Urdu, he said: 'PTI had announced to arrest of 200 workers and some leaders, but according to the details, 81 workers and leaders have been arrested.

It is to be seen how many more leaders are arrested in this movement of Tehreek-e-Insaaf and the way the Punjab government has announced that action is being taken against them for violation of 16 MPOs and Section 144. In this, they can be detained in jail for a month.

The district administration of Lahore has issued detention orders of 30 to 90 days for the PTI leaders and workers who came to the rally at Charing Cross under MPO-3.

According to the Deputy Commissioner Lahore Office, Section 144 is in force on the orders of the Lahore High Court for rallying, protesting, and blocking the road at Mal Road Charing Cross, for the violation of which three MPOs were arrested for the arrest of Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders and workers. The action was taken under

After these orders, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asad Umar and Umar Sarfraz Cheema, and other activists will be detained for 30 to 90 days.

According to Salman Ghani: 'In such a situation, there is a greater need for the PTI leadership to have a consultative process and to keep the workers active, because if the PTI could not achieve the desired results even though this movement, then their What will be the strategy?'

He further said that it is also important that the political parties are not able to take decisions in the parliament to hold the elections. Constitutionally, the election period is 90 days, but despite the dissolution of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab assembly, the government is avoiding to fulfill its constitutional responsibility. In this situation, the Supreme Court has to take notice of itself. The work that belongs to the Parliament is also being done by the institutions, which is weakening democracy instead of strengthening it

Transfer of PTI leaders to different jails

Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Ejaz Chaudhry says that PTI workers and leaders are being transferred to far-flung jails in Punjab to suppress their voices.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, he said: "The arrested leaders and workers of PTI have been transferred to remote jails of the province." 24 leaders and activists have been transferred to District Jail Leh, 24 to District Jail Bhakkar, and 25 to Rajanpur Jail.

He gave further details that Shah Mehmood Qureshi has been transferred to Attock Jail, Azam Swati to Rahim Yar Khan Jail, Murad Ras to DG Khan, Senator Waleed Iqbal to Leh, Umar Sarfaraz Cheema to Bhakkar Jail, Muhammad Madani to Bahawalpur. While Asad Umar has been transferred to Rajanpur Jail

In this whole situation, analyst Salman Ghani believes that keeping the central leadership of Tehreek-e-Insaaf in jail will not make any difference because all the decisions are made by Imran Khan himself. The decision to dissolve Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assemblies was his personal activity and did not include the will of all the leaders. Similarly, during the no-confidence motion, he announced the dissolution of the National Assembly, which was also his decision.

He further said that even in the absence of PTI leaders, the workers will listen to Imran Khan and make the same strategy, which will continue to be implemented, so whatever calls Imran Khan makes against the government, the workers will It will be answered and the movement will continue
