Gilgit – According to a statement issued from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat Gilgit-Baltistan, Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Khalid Khurshid in a recent meeting with the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Omar Ayub Khan on the style of Haripur-based University of Technical Education.
It has also been decided to set up a Technical Education University in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid has directed the Provincial Secretary Education that in collaboration with former Chairman Higher Education Commission Dr. Ata-ur-Rehman and Dr. Mujahid, Haripur University for Technical Education should also have a PC-1 for the University of Technical Education in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid has directed the Provincial Secretary of Education to finalize the PC-1 in the next ten days and present it for approval in the relevant forum. Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid Of Revenue has also been directed to identify 1000 of land for the establishment of the University for Technical Education.
