In the cantonment board elections the PML-N managed to get the highest number of votes overall

According to the election results, PML-N won 59 seats with more than 27% of the vote. The ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won 63 seats with more than 26% of the vote. According to the report, the independent candidates got more than 20% of the total votes, while the Pakistan People’s Party could barely get more than 6%. The banned Tehreek-e-Libya was the fourth largest political party in terms of votes but did not win a single seat.

On the other hand, after the September 12 elections, the results of 212 wards have come out so far, in which the PTI could barely win the first position. According to the results so far, the PTI has won 63 wards, while the opposition PML-N has won 59 seats. Independent candidates also won a large number of seats during the cantonment board elections, with a total of 52 independent candidates winning so far, while Sindh’s ruling party and the PPP, which dream of forming the next government in the federation, won only 17 seats. While 10 candidates of Muttahida Qaumi Movement, 7 candidates of Jamaat-e-Islami, 2 candidates of Balochistan Awami Party, and 2 candidates of Awami National Party were declared successful. Despite coming first in the cantonment board election results, the results are being described as worrisome for the PTI. Especially in Punjab, the PTI failed to break the opposition PML-N. It was informed that the results of 7 wards have not been received so far. The election has been postponed in some of these wards, while the results of some wards will be released soon.
