It may be recalled that a petition was filed in the Lahore High Court against the detention of banned TLP Amir Saad Rizvi, in which it was stated that on April 12, Hafiz Saad Rizvi was illegally transferred to SHO Nawankot. Detained, CCPO and DC Lahore were also approached to find out the reasons for Saad Rizvi's arrest but no hearing was held while SHO Nawankot also refrained from giving reasons for his arrest.
