According to a private television channel, the body of four-year-old girl Zeba Nadeem has recovered from the fields two days ago after which the family and residents of the area staged a protest by blocking Khanewal Bahawalpur Road and Khanewal Rohri railway track. Taking notice of the incident, DSP suspended President Malik Ijaz while RPO Multan assured the protesters of justice.
Police expanded their investigation into the incident and sought evidence and footage from the area. Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar also took notice of the incident of murder of the girl after abduction in the Khanewal area and demanded a report from RPO Multan.
Chief Minister Usman Bazdar had ordered the immediate arrest of the accused involved in the murder and directed that the accused be brought to justice and the demands of justice are met.
