Extremist group attack in the African country 55 people killed |
Kinshasa – At least 55 people have been killed in two attacks in the eastern part of the African country Congo. The United Nations says the overnight attack is the most violent in four years.
According to Reuters, local authorities have accused the militant group Allied Democratic Forces of carrying out attacks on the village of Tchabi and a camp for homeless people near Boga. Homes were set on fire and people were abducted during the night raids.
Security officials said bodies were still being found in the area, including women and children while several people were hiding in the bushes with injuries due to fear, and a search was underway.
