What does the US Nuclear Command tweet mean?

People around the world were stunned when some “inappropriate” letters were tweeted from the official account of the powerful US nuclear force.

Some jokingly asked if the tweets were lm gmlxzssaw the US nuclear weapons launch code, while others feared the Pentagon had been hacked. And some even speculated that it was a sign of political conspiracy.

In the midst of all this speculation, the US Strategic Command for the Control of Nuclear Weapons clarified that the official Twitter account of the nuclear command had in fact fallen into the hands of a child who mistakenly typed some letters and tweeted them.

The airbase in Nebraska is the headquarters of the US military’s strategic command, Stratcom, which controls the firing of nuclear weapons and missiles in the event of an attack against the United States. The comments are seen as a sign of a change in the current US defense position.

After the blatant tweet surfaced, Stratcom told Daily.com that the tweet was in fact not a secret message but the result of working from the command’s social media editor’s home.

Officials said: The command’s Twitter manager opened the command’s Twitter account during work and left without any supervision. Their youngest child took advantage of the situation and started playing with Keys who then unfortunately and unknowingly posted a tweet from this account.

No untoward incident (in command) occurred, meaning our Twitter account was not hacked, he added. 30 minutes later Stratcom made another tweet to ignore the previous one and then delete these two posts. This is not the first time Stratcom has taken to social media

Citing a New Year’s Eve drop in Times Square in New York in December 2018, Newcare Command joked on Twitter that this time something “huge” was being prepared for the drop instead of the ball. The tweet also featured a video of two bombs being dropped by a B-2 stealth bomber with music.

However, a few hours later, the command deleted the tweet and apologized that it was a bad joke.
