The United States has lifted |Prosecution sanctions at the international criminal Court

The US Secretary of State did not change his position on the situation in Afghanistan and Palestine, strongly disagreeing with the actions of the International Criminal Court, saying that the measures taken during the Trump era were inappropriate and ineffective.


The United States on Friday lifted sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor Fatou Sauda. The sanctions were imposed by the administration of former US President Donald Trump, who has drawn international criticism.


US Secretary of State Anthony Blankenship has announced the lifting of sanctions on bin Laden. Bin Soda had launched an investigation into allegations against the US military that it had committed war crimes in Afghanistan.

US Secretary of State Anthony Balkin said in a statement that the State Department had also scrapped a separate policy from 2019 regarding visa restrictions for certain individuals belonging to the International Criminal Court.


These decisions reflect our view that these actions of the past were inappropriate and ineffective he said, adding that Washington had made new decisions despite the US government’s criminal record regarding the situation in Afghanistan and Palestine. 


The government strongly opposes the International Criminal Court’s efforts to bring officials from countries such as the United States and Israel under its jurisdiction, even though these countries do not fall under the jurisdiction of the court.
