It has been reported that Pakistan Steel’s oxygen plant has been shut down since 2015, which can be activated in just 8 to 12 days. The plant will need a staff of 40 to run it, now that the country needs it.
By working 24 hours on an emergency basis, the supply of oxygen can be ensured in less than a week, while oxygen cylinders can also be manufactured in the fabricating department of the company.
According to the report, Pakistan Steel Mills employees say that if Pakistan Steel Oxygen Plant was running then, today the supply of oxygen to hospitals in Corona could be ensured all over Pakistan. However, the Oxygen plant was shut down in 2015.
