A minor fight while watching TV the mother killed her three-year-old daughter

In India, a mother strangled her only three-year-old daughter who accompanied her father when she changed TV channels.


A three-year-old girl in the southern Indian city of Bangalore was allegedly killed by her mother when she sided with her father in a fight over a TV channel change.


Sadha, a 26-year-old woman whose second name was not released to the media, told the police that she was angry with her only daughter because she loved her father more and always supported him. 


The couple, who hail from the Malitha Halli area of ​​the southern Indian state of Karnataka, work for a daily wage and had a minor altercation on Tuesday while watching their favorite show on TV.


At noon, when the woman’s husband, Irana, returned home from work, his daughter was watching TV. When Iran changed the channel to watch the news, it erupted. 


The two argued and the woman told her husband not to return home if he had to watch TV. Her daughter intervened and sided with her father, telling her mother to keep quiet.


West Bengal Deputy Commissioner of Police Sanju M. Patil told India Today that the woman lost consciousness that night and killed her daughter. That night, she allegedly took her daughter to a nearby building under construction and strangled her.


The case came to light on Wednesday when people saw the girl’s body and parents were called to identify the body. 


The couple cried when they saw the body of their only child and then the mother allegedly told the police that she had killed her daughter because she was angry with him.


Earlier, the woman had fabricated a story that her daughter had gone missing when she went out to eat something. After the confession, Sadha was arrested by the police
