The Prime Minister and the Finance Minister had a telephone conversation and discussed the economic situation in the country


ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan and Corona-based Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen had a telephone conversation.

According to details, during the telephone conversation, the Prime Minister enquired about the health of the Finance Minister. The Prime Minister congratulated Shaukat Tareen Koji on his GDP growth of 5.37 percent. The Prime Minister said that international organizations have accepted Pakistan’s economic reforms. Imran Khan directed Shaukat Tareen to take steps for the betterment of the middle class.

The Finance Minister said that the prices of local food items are expected to come down from December. Reducing prices will also reduce the pressure on imported goods. The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over tax collection exports and remittances
