Lahore – Punjab Health Department has directed to ensure the supply of Panadol tablets in the market. Issued show cause notices to 5 manufacturing companies on low production. According to details, Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Care Imran Sikandar Baloch has said that the department is ensuring the supply of Panadol pill in Primary and Secondary Health Care Market on the instructions of Provincial Health Minister Dr. Asman Rashid.
At present, there is a stock of about 37.54 million penadol tablets available in Punjab. 11.9 million tablets in Lahore division, 1.797 million in Rawalpindi division, 4.339 million in Bahawalpur division, 1.52 million in Dera Ghazi Khan division, 3.033 million in Faisalabad division, 5.65 million in Gujranwala division. , 32 lakh 61 thousand tablets are available in stock in Multan division, 20 lakh 66 thousand in Sahiwal division, and 39 lakh 60 thousand in Sargodha division.
Under the supervision of Chief Drugs Controller Punjab, millions of Panadol tablets are also being distributed. Imran Sikandar Baloch has said that the department has issued show-cause notices to 5 more manufacturing companies for non-production and under-production of Panadol Pill. In the last 24 hours, under the supervision of the Health Field Force, distribution of 2.5 million, 58 thousand penadol tablets was ensured at the Point of Sales in Lahore and its suburbs.
He said that in the last 24 hours, the field officers of the department have challaned 01 cells and 03 points of sales during the inspection of 622 points of sales of medicines.
