Lahore – In the match of the 7th edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Lahore Qalandars defeated Multan Sultans by 52 runs and ended the series of 6 consecutive victories. Sultans have won the toss and elected to bat in the second round match of Pakistan Super League 2022 being played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Lahore Qalandars did not get off to a good start as Abdullah Shafiq returned to the pavilion with LBW on Anwar Ali’s ball for a total score of 5, then Kamran Ghulam and Fakhr Zaman faced the Sultans bowlers confidently and batted responsibly. Kamran Ghulam scored 42 runs and was caught by Abbas Afridi.
After that Fakhr Zaman played 2 innings of 60 runs off 37 balls with the help of 2 sixes and 5 fours and was caught by Shah Nawaz Dhani in the chase of Imran Tahir’s ball. Hafeez scored 43 off 29 balls with the help of three sixes and a four. Qalandars scored 182 for four in the allotted overs, Phil Salt scored 26 off 13 balls.
Anwar Ali, Shahnawaz Dhani, Abbas Afridi, and Imran Tahir took one wicket each for Sultans. For the match, both teams did not make any changes in their previous matches.
